locks itself, but coronavirus still on prowl
France and Spain
joined Italy in imposing Lockdown on tens of millions of people, Australia self
isolation of arriving foreigners in other countries extended entry bans as the
world sought to contain the spreading coronavirus. panic buying in Australia,
the US and Britain saw leaders appeal for calm over the virus that has infected
over 156000 globally and killed more than 5800. Austria’s chancellor urged
people self isolate themselves and announced Bans on gathering of more than
five people and further limits on who came into the country.
Australian PM Scott
Morrison said from midnight Sunday International Travelers arriving in the
country would need to isolate themselves for 14 days and foreign Cruise ships
would be banned for 30 days, given a rise in imported cases. Australia's latest
restrictions mirror those announced by neighboring New Zealand on Saturday.
Spain 47 million

days state of emergency to combat the epidemic in Europe, the second worst

Italy, the worst hit

stay home after confirmed infection doubled in 72 hours. French Prime Minister
said the government had no other option after the public health authorities

Argentina and entry to
non residents who have been to any country highly affected by coronavirus in
the last 14 days, while Colombia said it would expel four European for
violating compulsory Quarantine protocol, hours after closing its border with
Venezuela.
Starting Sunday, South
Korea began to subject visitors from France, Germany, Britain, Spain and the
Netherlands to strict border checks after imposing similar rules for China, Italy
and Iran which had measured outbreaks. visitors from those countries now need
to download an app to report whether they have symptoms. South Korea has
been testing thousands of people and tracking potential Carriers using cell
phones and satellite Technology.
Indians
evacuated from Iran quarantined in Jaisalmer
on Sunday 236 Indians
were airlifted from coronavirus affected Iran and brought to Jaisalmer in
Rajasthan amid elaborate preparation made by the Civil Airport Authority, the
army and the district administration. another flight is expected to arrive here
on Monday.
Doctors from Jodhpur
Medical College were deployed at the airport in Jaisalmer and the 236 Indian
were taken to the centre of Army military station in four buses, under the
supervision of the doctors. Air India flights carried 118 passengers each of
which 139 were students and 97 were pilgrims. There were 100 male and 136
female passengers.
Meanwhile, two of the
236 Indians were found to be suffering from cough and cold. That you have been
admitted to the Airforce hospital and their samples were sent for testing.
Army officials said
these evacuated people are to be kept under quarantine for a period of 14 days.
Indian Army has set up a Wellness Centre at various locations to provide a
credible response to COVID-19. a defence spokesperson said the Wellness Centre
at Jaisalmer is fully equipped to help the Indian citizens undertake the
mandatory quarantine period under the supervision of skilled medical
authorities. The wellness Centre is working in total Synergy with the
civil administration, airport authorities and Airforce to ensure proper care is
provided to all evacuated citizens.
