What is PPE's (Coronavirus protection) :-
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT , in short PPE,
they protective gear designed to safe guard the health worker by minimizing
exposure to biological agents. This is an agent like novel coronavirus,
scientifically called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or
SARC-CoV-2, which causes coronavirus disease 2019 or covid-19.
WHAT CONSTITUTES A PPE:-
Goggles - First layer of protection for eyes
Face shield - To protect mucous membranes
Mask - To thwart droplets and aerosols
Gloves - Nitrile gloves preferred over latex as they
resist chemicals
Gown - Could be with or without apron. Supposed to be
impermeable to body fluids
Head cover - Hair should fit inside head cover
Shoe covers - Should be made of impermeable fabric
Above mentioned PPE is primary requirement for
our doctor's and Nurse. Those are closely working with coronavirus infected
patients.
PROBLEMS FOUND:-
Private sector hospitals and nursing staff don't
have access to the best PPE's
Grey market products have flooded the found
procurement system.
Poor or inappropriate material has been found
used for making gowns
Masks found not made of right material or without
right fit
How we can send our soldier without protection in
battle field and enemy is very dangerous. We have to protect our battle field
soldiers.
What is Aarogya Setu app and how it help to beat
the coronavirus
Aarogya Setu app based on contact tracing and you can find out places of an infected
person and people they have come in
contact with, then you isolate all of them to prevent further infection.
Contact tracing has been used to contain every
recent epidemic. It's a laborious and slow process but with an estimated 3.5
billion Smartphone's in the world, it can be automated and made instantaneous.
China and South Korea have already demonstrated the efficacy of smart contact
tracing in the past few months.
HOW IT WORKS
Your risk of coronavirus infection goes up when
you remain within six feet of an infected person for several minutes. While
it's impossible for you to track your encounters with others people at the bank
or in a market , your phone can do so continuously using its sensors. Phones
that have contact tracing apps on them communicate with each other so that if
one of the users tests coronavirus positive, others who have had contact with
them are alerted.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Down load the app and grant it necessary
permission.
Keep Bluetooth is always on. Each phone
constantly transmits unique code and saves codes of other phones that come
within range for several minutes at a time.
If one of your contact tests positive for
covid-19, your app alerts you and provides information about self quarantining
and getting tested.
CHALLENGE FOR AAROGYA SETU
India's app is off to a flying start with 6
crores downloads in its first 17 days, yet even this impressive rate might not
be enough. Aarogya Setu has two major weakness - lack of testing in the country
and the low penetration in Smartphone's.
Researchers at covid watch, an open source contact
tracing project, say such app are effective only when at least 50% of the
population uses them. Oxford researchers put the number at 60%.
But 6 crores downloads means less than 5% of
India's population. Besides in 2019 less than 30% of Indians owned Smartphone's
so even if 100% of them install Aarogya Setu the app won't work efficiently. It
might prove useful in cities with high smart phone usage, but tracking the
virus with it in small towns and villages might not be possible.
